Police in Virginia are investigating an apparent attempted break-in after a video showed a trio of people dressed in scary costumes terrorizing a frightened family.
The alarming incident, which was captured on a home's Ring surveillance camera, took place Tuesday, Oct. 14 in Alexandria, a city just south of Washington, DC.
Alexandria Police Department Public Information Officer Rebekka Heite said the agency is searching for three suspects in connection with the creepy case captured in viral footage circulating online.
As of on Friday, Oct. 17, Heite said no arrests had been made related to the incident, which was reported about 9:50 p.m. local time on Oct. 14.
Shayla Whiteside, who lives in the home, told Storyful she thought it was a prank at first.
