One migrant is dead and one missing after a boat capsized about 50 miles southeast of Lampedusa Friday.
The boat with about thirty migrants aboard capsized in the Maltese SAR area.
A search and rescue operation coordinated by the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) has been underway since Thursday night, after it was sighted.
Eleven shipwrecked people and the body of one dead migrant have been recovered so far.
The operation began after the Italian Coast Guard's Manta "10-03" aircraft, already engaged in flight operations, spotted the capsized vessel and immediately launched a life raft.
