Emmy-winning "Saturday Night Live" icon Kate McKinnon has joined the cast of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" Season 3, which started production in August.
Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Saturday Night Live icon Kate McKinnon has joined the cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Season 3.
The Emmy-winning comic actress is set to play the Greek love goddess Aphrodite in the Disney+ adaptation of Rick Riordan's best-selling fantasy novels.
This will be a recurring role for McKinnon.
Season 3 is based on the book The Titan's Curse and started production in August.
Season 2, which was inspired by The Sea of Monsters, is set to premiere on Dec. 10.
