The Nellitheertha Guhalaya Theertha Snana at Nellitheertha Somanatheshwara Cave Temple will commence from Friday, at 9 a.m., with Edaneer Mutt seer Sachidananda Bharathi Swamy initiating the ritual.
Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple hereditary priest Lakshminarayana Asranna, former Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Harikrishna Punarur and others will be present on the occasion, said a release.
Located at Kompadavu village, the cave temple can be reached via Bajpe from Mangaluru. The temple is situated next to a cave that has a Shiva Linga, called Jabaleshwara. Devotees take a bath at Nellitheertha pond near the temple before crawling inside the cave to reach Jabaleshwara.
