The National BC Reservation Struggle Coordination Joint Action Committee (JAC) was formed on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), to spearhead a nationwide movement demanding constitutional protection for the enhanced 42% Backward Classes (BC) reservations.
National BC Dal president Dundra Kumara Swamy was unanimously elected as its chairman at a meeting held in Kachiguda of Hyderabad, attended by BC community leaders, youth representatives, legal professionals, and social activists. The full national executive of the JAC will be announced on Thursday.
“This is not a political movement but a struggle for dignity, equality, and self-respect. The JAC will intensify its fight until BC reservations receive constitutional protection,” Mr. Kumara Swamy said. He also announced complete support for the Telangana State Bandh on October 18 and appealed to BC communities, intellectuals, women, professionals, and employees to join in solidarity.
