Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Amanda Serrano will return to the ring to defend her featherweight boxing titles against Erika Cruz on Jan. 3, in Puerto Rico, Most Valuable Promotions announced Tuesday.

Serrano (47-4-1) beat Cruz (18-2-1) by unanimous decision in a gory 2023 bout to become Puerto Rico's first undisputed champion in boxing's four-belt era.

The next meeting will be 10 three-minute rounds at Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan. The bout will air on DAZN.

"Every time I step into the ring, I fight for all women, for equality and for Puerto Rico," Serrano, the WBO and WBA titleholder, said in a news release.
