WASHINGTON ‒ President Donald Trump on Oct. 14 said his administration ordered another military strike on a vessel carrying illegal narcotics off the coast of Venezuela in what marks the fifth such attack in the Caribbean since September.

Trump said six male "narcoterrorists" aboard the boat were killed. In a post on X, Trump attached a video showing a strike on a boat at sea that ends with a fiery explosion.

"Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route," Trump said. "The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed."

More: Trump-ordered strikes on Caribbean boats have killed 21. An effort to stop them failed.

In four previous attacks on similar vessels, the Trump administration said it killed 21 individuals carrying drugs.
