I’ve done a lot of Target shopping over the years. Whether I’m looking for seasonal dresses or could use some new home decor, the retailer has never let me down. One hidden-gem Target brand that I shop consistently is Method. It provides everything from shampoo and conditioner to body wash, surface cleaner, floor cleaner and more. What I love most about it is that the brand offers plant-based formulas and environmentally conscious packaging. And, its products never smell nauseating like some traditional fragranced cleaners — they just smell fresh and light. The first item I bought from the brand was its all purpose cleaner in the French lavender scent and I was so impressed by not only its cleaning ability, but its super affordable price tag. After that, I began a full-on love affair with Method. Now, most of my household cleaning items (and even some personal care!) are from Method and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If you need a true do-it-all brand that you can pick up at your local Target without breaking the bank, keep reading. I’ve rounded up all my favorite Method items that don’t even exceed the $20 threshold.TargetA body wash in a floral scentI’ll preface this by saying that I’m a bit picky about my body washes. I’ve tried many over the course of my career, but I find some of them underwhelming in the lather and hydration department. This body wash does not fall into the “underwhelming” category in the slightest. The lather is just right, the Pure Peace scent is divine (think rose water and peony), and it never leaves my skin feeling tight or ashy afterwards. I picked it up at Target on a whim one day because I’d just run out of my other body wash and I loved the brand’s other offerings. It remains a favorite to this day.Promising review: “Method Pure Peace Body Wash smells incredible! Florals and baby powder, like a spring gardan! Amazing lather, smooth on the skin. Highly recommend.” — Target customerTargetAn all purpose cleaner in a French lavender scentThis was the product that started my Method obsession. I was browsing Whole Foods one day for a surface cleaner with less harsh ingredients that I could use on my kitchen surfaces and other countertops and this one jumped out at me for its affordability. The formula is biodegradable with plant-based cleaning ingredients, but don’t worry. If you think that means it’s less effective, think again. This cleans my stovetop so well after I cook, plus my cupboards and the inside of my fridge. The French lavender scent doesn’t hurt either. Promising review: “This is the absolute best cleaning solution. It smells so fresh and clean. The scent is nice, but not too strong. They use a lot of natural ingredients. Great value for the money. Easy to use packaging where you can just spray on any surface. This product is always in my Cleaning jar.” — Lauren B.TargetA foaming hand soap in a coconut water scentI’m not usually particular about my hand soap, but this $5 coconut water-scented one made with biodegradable cleaners definitely stands out. A lot of foaming hand washes leave my hands feeling super dry, but this one never does. And, I love that the brand offers really inexpensive re-fill options for most of its products. Promising review: “Really enjoy this hand soap. It creates a smooth foam and is very effective at cleaning without drying our hands. Have repurchased several times as the scent is one of our favorites and we love that we can refill the bottles.” — HildyTargetA hard floor cleaner in a spearmint sage scentConfession time: I have a Swiffer Wet Jet that I low-key just started filling with this $6 floor cleaner instead of buying the Wet Jet one. It comes in a pretty large size and the scent is refreshing without smelling overly chemical or too strong. Also, my floors are faux wood, meaning they get dirty pretty easily. But, this cleaner is great on hard surfaces and cleans them up in a jiff. Promising review: "I've been using Method’s Squirt + Mop for a while now, and it’s super convenient. No bucket, no rinsing — just squirt it on the floor and mop. It smells amazing (especially the almond and lemon scents), and it leaves my floors looking clean without feeling sticky. It’s also plant-based, which I like. The only downside is that if you use too much, it can leave a bit of a film. Just go light with it and you'll be fine. Overall, it's an easy, eco-friendly way to keep floors fresh and clean." — Julia R.TargetA laundry detergent in a ginger mango scentLaundry detergent is another item I'm a bit picky about. Some “clean” and plant-based detergent options have done me dirty in the past (literally), but this one is far from a disappointment. I always wash anything stained in cold water with Shout Stain Remover and this detergent — it's a magical combo. It basically erases stains with just a quick wash — even things like red wine. Promising review: "I actually really loved this detergent. It cleaned my kids clothes so well compared to all and tide, without all the chemicals. The scent was very subtle. But I would recommend it to anyone n everyone." — LeeTargetA glass cleaner in a mint scentI'll admit, I was a bit skeptical to try a plant-based glass cleaner at first. Once I tried it out, though, I couldn't ever go back. I like your classic cleaners like Windex as much as the next person, but this formula works just as well and offers a plant-based formulation if that’s something that’s important to you. The minty fresh smell it offers is also a nice bonus — it's almost like added aromatherapy. Promising review: "I've purchased this for years and love it. It has such an amazing fresh scent and cleans very well. Love this brand." — Heather S.TargetA bathroom cleaner in a eucalyptus scentFinding a good bathroom cleaner is where I've always struggled. While I do still use classic items like bleach, I wanted to invest in a plant-based option that still got the job done without making me feel like I’m choking to death every time I need to clean. This works great on my bathroom counter, bath tub, and even my floor. Promising review: "This stuff is amazing I use all the brand and am super happy with them. I know my [house] is clean. Great value to and amazing scents that linger. The packaging is great and the spray mechanism is so good." — AtiyemTargetA spearmint toilet bowl cleanerThis is another great option if you're looking for a toilet bowl cleaner that’s less harsh. It both cleans and sanitizes with a fresh spearmint scent. I like that it’s a bit of a cleaner-ingredient option because I can use it on the seat, too. I've always been a bit hesitant to use stronger cleaners there because they'd come into contact with your skin. Promising review: "I really love this toilet bowl cleaner. It leaves everything spotless without harsh chemicals, and the spearmint scent is fresh and clean without being overpowering. It's nice to find something that works well and smells great without using bleach." — Target customerTargetA stainless steal appliance cleaner in an apple orchard scentI’m no pro when it comes to cleaning. Before, I would use whatever I had on hand to clean any type of surface, but now, I’ve realized that doesn’t always work. Stainless steel appliances are a tricky one and I’ve found that traditional cleaners always leave stains and streaks. This cleaner from Method works perfectly on my stainless steel dishwasher and fridge. I used to get frustrated trying to clean them because they never seemed to actually look clean after I would use a regular cleaner. But now, I don’t have that issue. This leaves my appliances practically sparkling and the best part is that it’s only $8. Promising review: “This is the only product I have found that really works. I have wasted so much money on all the other brand of stainless steel cleaning products but not anymore. So happy with this!” — MaryTargetA solid deodorant in a floral scentI really like Method's deodorant because it's aluminum- and baking soda-free. Both of those ingredients can be irritating for sensitive skin, but this plant-based option is great. My favorite thing about this formula, though, is the scent. Like I mentioned above, the Pure Peace scent is divine so I bought both the deodorant and the body wash in it. It also lasts pretty long for me without needing to re-apply. Promising review: "The only deodorant that doesn’t make my underarms puffy itch and swollen. This is a great smelling natural deodorant. If you have skin issues or are very sensitive this is by far the best deodorant I’ve purchased. It is a little bit expensive, but it’s worth it." — SophiaClose Trending In ShoppingMore In Shopping
