Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Issues on Monday at British telecommunications company Vodafone led to large scale service outages that's impacted hundreds of thousands of Vodafone customers.

Service issues reportedly began around 10 a.m. local time in the British isles with more than 130,000 of some 18 million users flagging problems accessing Vodafone's mobile and broadband network.

The company acknowledged it was aware of a "major issue on our network affecting broadband" on both 4G and 5G service networks as officials requested patience.

British users also reported struggles in reaching Vodafone customer service amid the unfolding situation.

Customers also pointed to "complete outages" in certain areas like London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and Manchester. In addition, Internet monitor Netblocks further indicated a "national outage" on Vodafone broadband and mobile.
