President Donald Trump continued to dwell on his loss of the Nobel Peace Prize in comments he made on Sunday.

In a message on Truth Social, Trump shared a screenshot of an October post from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling for the U.S. president to win the Nobel Peace Prize. “He deserves it!” the post reads.

And in a press gaggle with reporters, Trump alluded to how the prize was awarded based on achievements in 2024, adding that the panel deciding the honor could have made an “exception” given what he said were his accomplishments this year.

“In all fairness to the Nobel Committee … it was for 2024, this was picked for 2024,” he said while talking with reporters on Air Force One during a flight to Israel on Sunday. “There are those who say you can make an exception because a lot of things happened during ’25 that are done and complete and great.”

Trump was en route to Tel Aviv after he and his administration helped broker a ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas.
