Delhi breathed a little easier on Sunday as air quality improved marginally and stayed in the ‘moderate’ category, even as the forecast indicates a likely decline in the coming days.
The national capital recorded a 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 167 at 4 p.m., down from 199 a day earlier, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). An AQI between 101 and 200 is classified as ‘moderate’, while readings from 201 to 300 fall under the ‘poor’ category.
