Round the corner from their residences at Balmoral and Birkhall is a Scottish village that the royals have treasured for many years.

And now the King and Queen have been immortalised in Lego after receiving miniature versions of themselves while in Ballater, Aberdeenshire, yesterday.

Charles and Camilla visited the village’s Albert Hall to mark its 150th anniversary, seeing Highland dancers, hearing a piece of fiddle music and greeting crowds.

Charles wore a kilt in his own King Charles tartan.
