Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Freida Parton, the sister of Dolly Parton, asked for prayers on Tuesday for the country music legend who had to cancel recent appearances because of health issues.
"Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly," Freida Parton wrote in a Facebook post. "Many of you know she hasn't been feeling her best lately."
The post did not include any details about Dolly Parton's condition but it comes just a week after she announced the postponement of her Las Vegas residency due to health issues.
"I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts," Parton said in an Instagram post. "As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures."
