The Urwa police have booked two persons for their inflammatory posts in the wake of the police objecting to the use of sound systems during Shobha Yatra in Ullal in the early hours of October 2.Three persons were taken into police custody after a sub-inspector was reportedly abused by a few persons when he went to stop the use of music system, following which the procession stopped. It resumed after they were released.On October 6, the social media monitoring cell of the Urwa police noticed inflammatory posts with regard to the incident on the Facebook pages of Shailesh Kashipatna and Ayisha Mohammed. The police suo motu registered cases against the two for offences under Sections 196(1)(a) and 353 (2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Published - October 07, 2025 11:17 pm IST
