High-Level Committee approves additional central assistance for flood-affected Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and other states.
A High-Level Committee (HLC) chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah has approved ₹707.97 crore of additional central assistance to the States of Assam and Gujarat which were affected by flood and landslides during year 2024, a statement by the ministry said.
The assistance has been provided from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF). Out of the total amount of ₹707.97 crore, ₹313.69 crore has been approved for Assam and ₹394.28 crore for Gujarat.
