Australian beats Scott Vincent in a play-off to put himself back into contention for LIV Golf spot, looks forward to Hong Kong Open

Wade Ormsby had not exactly given up on his season, but it is fair to say that winning the International Series rankings race and earning the LIV Golf spot that goes with it was not part of the plan.

Victory propelled Ormsby into third in the series points list and fifth on the Asian Tour’s order of merit. Next week’s SJM Macau Open begins a run of eight tournaments without a break, culminating in the Saudi Open in December.

“There’s a lot to play for in the International Series,” Ormsby said. “There’s the LIV carrot again, which hasn’t been on my radar until now, so you just want to play well.
