Executive officer of Mysuru Taluk Panchayat C. Krishna has said that e-KYC has been made mandatory for all active families registered under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA) who possess job cards. He said that e-KYC registration has already commenced across all 27 Gram Panchayats in Mysuru taluk, and job card holders can update their details by submitting the required documents.Since the attendance of every worker engaged under the MGNREGA scheme is being recorded through the National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS), updating e-KYC has become essential, the officer said in a press release here on Monday.Completing the e-KYC process, he added, would help ensure transparency in recording workers’ attendance and in crediting wages directly to their bank accounts.
