Born in Ascot, Lewis Moody grew up in Berkshire and began playing mini rugby at Bracknell rugby club aged five. He went on to attend Oakham School in Rutland and initially played at centre and then full-back in his youth career. Here he offloads for Leicester against Gloucester in 1999.
