A hero police dog pinned a topless burglar down to the floor after stealing thousands of pounds worth of jewellery.
PD Moose and his Cleveland Police handler rushed to Stockton, in County Durham, to catch Adam Kirby, 38, as he was causing damage in the area.
A haul of necklaces, rings and earrings as well as cash were found in Kirby’s pockets, while other items, including a Jimmy Choo bag, were located in a nearby area where he had been hiding.
The thief received a sentence of two years and four months in prison and was fined a victim’s surcharge of £228.
