Dindigul district received good rainfall on Friday evening. The rains had left many roads inundated and unmotorable. Parts of Theni district also received rainfallIt began with a light drizzle at around 4.30 p.m. and it was followed by a heavy downpour. The heavy downpour continued for over two hours. Water entered households in low lying areas and the residents faced a tough time draining the water.Traffic came to a standstill in many parts of Dindigul and in the district. Vehicle users found it difficult to move on the waterlogged roads. Many pedestrians also faced a tough time. There was also good rainfall in the other parts of the district.According to the Dindigul district rainfall report, Dindigul district received good rainfall. Dindigul had recorded a rainfall of 105 mm, Natham 72 mm, Vedasandur 55 mm and Nilakottai 28.20 mm. Dindigul district had recorded an average rainfall of 33.05 mm.
