Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A Michigan man said he was disappointed to see someone had won the lottery's $564,219 Club Keno The Jack prize -- until he found out the winning ticket was his own.

The 45-year-old Otsego County man told Michigan Lottery officials he bought a Club Keno The Jack ticket from the Gaylord South EZ Mart on South Otsego Avenue in Gaylord.

"I play Club Keno every now and then, but I only play The Jack when it gets over $100,000," the player said. "I bought a ticket for 30 draws, and when I got home, I decided that if the draws were still going, I would go somewhere to have a drink and watch the rest."

The player said he was initially upset when he used his phone to check the status of the drawings.
