Nanma, a voluntary organisation based at Akathethara, near here, launched a cleanliness awareness campaign as part of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations on Thursday.District Police Chief Ajit Kumar inaugurated the campaign at Thanavu, near Olavakode. Nanma president Manoj K. Murthy presided over the function. Secretary Sibichan Thomas welcomed the gathering.Lead College of Management chairman Thomas George administered an oath for cleanliness. Akathethara panchayat president Sunita Ananthakrishnan, Puthupperiyaram panchayat vice-president S. Unni, Assistant Forest Conservator (Eastern Circle) Sumu Scaria, and Excise Deputy Commissioner P.K. Satheesh spoke.Several organisations joined the cleanliness drive organised by Nanma.
