David Lammy was heckled as he was introduced at the Manchester synagogue attack’s vigil on Friday.
Attendees chanted “shame on you” and accused the Deputy Prime Minister of having “blood on his hands”.
Mark Adlestone, chair of the Jewish Representative Council in Greater Manchester, was eventually compelled to intervene, saying: “All right, we’ve heard enough. We know how you feel.”
Greater Manchester Police revealed earlier on Friday two victims were hit by bullets as they blocked terrorist Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, from entering the Heaton Park Synagogue on Thursday morning.
Officers shot and killed Al-Shamie minutes after he drove into worshippers gathering for Yom Kippur, Judaism’s holiest day.
