Film star Richard Gere called out President Donald Trump and warned of the destruction he’s caused in the United States in a short space of time.
“He’s not only crazy, he’s a dark, dark presence, and it’s happened so quickly,” he said in Barcelona earlier this week, according to Europa Press. “Six months, he’s almost destroyed our country.”
Gere ― who last year announced he was moving to Spain, where his wife, Alejandra Silva, is from ― spoke out while attending the 10th anniversary of Open Arms, a Spanish NGO that performs search-and-rescue operations for migrants at sea.
The star of films such as “Pretty Woman,” “An Officer and a Gentleman” and “Chicago” also said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “has to go.”
“This is not someone who can change,” he said. “He has to go, and all the enablers in the coalition that he has together, they all have to go.”
