The police on Thursday arrested 45 members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) near Porur after they held a Guru Puja and a special Shakha training session at the Iyyappanthangal Government Higher Secondary School without obtaining prior permission. On Thursday morning, 45 RSS members had gathered at the Government Higher Secondary School campus as part of the organisation’s centenary celebrations. Following a complaint from the school principal, the police registered a case against the organisers. They were later released on station bail the same evening, the police said.
