Oct. 2 (UPI) -- A 3-foot tall miniature Scottish Highland bull escaped from a Connecticut farm and has been repeatedly spotted several miles from home.

Kit Sullivan, owner of Sullivan Brothers Farm in Franklin, said the bull, Lefty, had only just arrived at the farm when he was spooked by another bull and managed to squeeze underneath a barbed wire fence that had been designed for larger bovines.

Nearby residents have shared photos and videos of the wayward bull on social media, and he has been spotted as far away as downtown Norwich, about 7 miles from Sullivan's farm.

"He's very hard to find, just because the weeds are taller than him, and he's orange colored, so he blends right in with all the leaves down on the ground," Sullivan told CT Insider. "He's friendly, but he's skittish around people he doesn't really know."
