Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Duke signed men's basketball coach Jon Scheyer to a two-year contract extension, the school announced Thursday. He led the Blue Devils to a 35-4 record in 2024.

His new pact will expire after the 2030-31 season.

"Jon's remarkable impact over his first three seasons has positioned Duke basketball for sustained excellence, and we are proud to ensure his leadership well into the future," Blue Devils athletics director Nina King said in a news release.

"He has delivered championships and national prominence, and he continues to lead a program built on character, connection and a relentless pursuit of greatness.
