■ Two people were killed and three others were seriously wounded in a car ramming and stabbing attack outside a Manchester, U.K. synagogue on Thursday, British police said, as Jews gathered to mark Yom Kippur. Police declared the attack a terrorist incident.
■ Israeli soldiers intercepted 39 vessels, which amount to all but one boat carrying aid for Gazans, Global Sumud Flotilla organizers said.
■The Israeli foreign ministry said all activists who took part in the Global Sumud Flotilla will face a deportation procedure back to Europe upon reaching Israel.
