Russia bans gasoline and diesel exports as the domestic fuel crisis expands.
The Russian government on Sep. 30 extended once again a ban on gasoline exports and introduced a partial ban on diesel exports — for the first time since late 2023 — as part of emergency measures to tackle a domestic fuel crisis caused by Ukrainian drone strikes against Russia’s refineries. The government is also working on a set of new measures to support the domestic market.
