Tears poured down the face of a former elementary school teacher who admitted in court that she had sexually abused an 11-year-old boy in her class.
Madison Bergmann, 25, was a soon-to-be-married teacher at River Crest Elementary School in Hudson, Wisconsin, until the father of the fifth-grade boy caught her abusing his son.
Bergmann pleaded guilty to one count of child enticement and two counts of sexual misconduct by school staff at the plea hearing on September 29.
The sex offender had several charges dismissed, including first-degree sexual assault of a child, exposing a child to harmful descriptions, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, and additional counts of sexual misconduct by school staff and child enticement.
In court footage, Bergman is seen on video appearing to struggle with keeping her composure as a judge announces the possible 18-year incarceration she may face.
