Two elderly pedestrians have died after being hit by a car driven by a man who was arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving.
The two men, aged 76 and 77, were walking in Aldershot at around 6.30am today when they were hit by a Skoda car and killed instantly.
The driver of the car, a 66-year-old man from Wokingham, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
Hampshire Constabulary has now issued a plea for witnesses to the crash, which happened in Fleet Road at 6.35am.
A police spokesperson said: 'We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Aldershot.
