n the day Arne Slot was officially unveiled as the successor to Jürgen Klopp, he was asked about replacing someone who came to be regarded as much a messiah at Liverpool as a manager. There were, he acknowledged, “big shoes to fill” and conceded that many in the building were still “in love” with an iconic figure.
