Gavin Newsom fat-shamed Donald Trump on Tuesday, and all he needed to do it were the words of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Hegseth and Trump convened every top U.S. general and admiral from around the world in Virginia to declare, among other things, their desire to rid the military of fat people.
“Frankly, it’s tiring to look out at combat formations — or really, any formation — and see fat troops,” Hegseth griped to the military leaders before going in for the kill. “Likewise, it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon, and leading commands around the country and the world.”
Hegseth said that, moving forward, American combat forces will be required to do “real hard” physical training every day, meet height and weight requirements, and undergo two tests each year to ensure they are up to what he called the “highest male standard.”
Unfortunately for Hegseth, his tough talk backfired almost immediately when the California governor responded with an unflattering photo of Trump.
