More than 3,000 students of Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women participated in a condolence meeting at its campus in Vaniyambadi town in Tirupattur to mourn the lives lost in the stampede at Karur.According to a press release, students also took a pledge for their commitment to safety and observed a moment of silence in a tribute to the departed. Kumanan, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, underscored the importance of personal safety for young women in public spaces. He reminded students that their well-being is essential not only for their families but also for society at large.
