Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (September 30, 2025) welcomed the 20-point peace proposal for Gaza, which U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled on Monday (September 29) after he met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.Welcoming the proposal that includes supervision of Gaza Strip by a “Peace Board”, Mr. Modi said that the plan will help Palestinians and Israelis as well as the West Asia region. In response to Mr. Modi’s remarks, Israel ambassador Reuven Azar said India can participate in the reconstruction of Gaza Strip. “We welcome President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. It provides a viable pathway to long term and sustainable peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people. We hope that all concerned will come together behind President Trump’s initiative and support this effort to end conflict and secure peace,” Mr. Modi said. Published - September 30, 2025 09:12 am IST
