The annual Brahmotsavam at Tirumala on Monday unfolded with grandeur, drawing tens of thousands of devotees to a day of sacred rituals and vibrant processions.The celebrations began in the morning with the Hanumantha Vahana Seva, during which Lord Malayappa Swamy, adorned as Lord Kodanda Rama, was carried majestically on Hanuman along the mada streets of the hill temple. This spectacle, symbolising the inseparable bond between Rama and his foremost devotee Hanuman, evoked the Vedantic ideals of devotion, surrender, and the unity of Guru and disciple. The streets came alive as devotees thronged to witness the procession, seeking blessings amid an atmosphere charged with spiritual fervour.In the afternoon, special rituals such as Vasanthotsavam and Asthanam were performed inside the sanctum, adding solemnity to the day’s celebrations.As dusk descended, the temple town glittered with the dazzling golden chariot procession. Lord Malayappa, flanked by His divine consorts, was taken around the streets on a resplendent chariot, offering a visual feast to pilgrims. The rhythmic chanting of Govinda namam filled the air, as the majestic chariot rolled past amidst scenes of devotion and jubilation.The day’s festivities concluded with the Gaja Vahanam procession at night, followed by special Yagasala rituals within the temple precincts.
