The State government on Sunday (September 28, 2025) issued operational guidelines for tourism sector to ensure that various policy benefits and incentives reach the right people in a smooth, fair, and timely manner.A statement issued by the department said that these guidelines act like a rulebook that clarifies who can apply, what steps to follow, and how the government will process and release the benefits. They help avoid confusion, reduce delays, and ensure transparency for everyone involved, from government departments to private tourism enterprises.Some key points covered in the guidelines include an explanation on how long the policy will be in effect and who is eligible to apply, clarification on who is responsible for checking and verifying applications, provision of step-by-step process to claim government incentives, laying out the process to approve and release the incentives on time, procedure for inspection of enterprises, constitution of committees for approval of incentives, assigning duties to key officers and conveners for smooth functioning, list of all available incentives and how to apply for them and setting a clear process to release funds in a transparent manner.These guidelines make sure that government support reaches deserving tourism enterprises efficiently and without hassle.
