District Collector M.N. Harendira Prasad stated that the district administration, with support from the State government, is making concerted efforts to position Visakhapatnam as a key destination for both international and domestic tourism. He noted that the city has witnessed rapid growth in recent years, with special focus on the tourism sector. The Collector also announced that major annual events like Bheemili Utsav and Visakha Utsav will be held in the coming months to further promote tourism. He added that the International Fleet Review (IFR) is scheduled to be organised in February 2026.
