Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Terry McLaurin will not play against the Atlanta Falcons, coach Dan Quinn announced Friday.
Daniels, who also sat out in Week 3, will miss his second consecutive start due to a left knee sprain he sustained in Week 2. McLaurin injured a right quad in the third quarter of the Commanders' 41-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in Landover, Md.
Veteran backup Marcus Mariota is to start against the Falcons on Sunday in Atlanta. He completed 15 of 21 passes for 207 yards and a score against the Raiders. He also ran for 40 yards and a score.
McLaurin, who totaled 74 yards on three catches against the Raiders, logged 10 catches for 149 yards through his first three starts this season. Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane are among the backup wide receivers listed behind McLaurin, Noah Brown and Deebo Samuel on the Commanders' depth chart.
