Heavy rainfall in Hyderabad flooded low-lying areas disrupting traffic flow on Friday morning. Water logging was reported in Begumpet, Maitrivanam and other parts of the city. In Miyapur, pipeline road near the MHM railway under bridge was closed due to inundation. At Katedan, the Old Kurnool road railway underpass was flooded, with teams clearing clogged drains to restore flow.Police and Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) teams deployed with dewatering pumps to speed up clearance at critical points.Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in 17 districts of Telangana on Saturday (September 27, 2025).
