Rangayana will organise a three-day theatre festival, Ranga Dasara, here from Saturday.Director of Rangayana Sujata Jangamshetty, addressing a press conference here on Thursday, said that Deputy Commissioner Fauzia Tarannum will inaugurate the theatre festival.On Saturday, artists from Vishwa Ranga Kalaburagi team will stage a play, Bharjari Bhagya, authored by Bheemshma Ramayya and directed by Vishwa Raj Patil.On Sunday, Sangya-Baalya, authored by Chandrashekar Kambar and directed by B.M.S. Prabhu, will be staged by artists from the Ranga Bimba team.On Monday, Afzalpur MLA M.Y. Patil will deliver the valedictory address. Activist and writer Meenakshi Bali will be the chief guest on the occasion.The valedictory function will be followed by a Bayalaata, Bhima Vilas Arthath Keechak Vadhe, authored by Sri Gurulingeshwara Maharaj.Artists from Sri Siddarameshwara Havyasi Bayalaata Mandali Afzalpur will perform the traditional folk theatre art, Dr. Jangamshetty added.
