Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Bryson DeChambeau and the Americans, who recently touted their preparation, are favored to avenge their 2023 loss this weekend with a 2025 Ryder Cup crown.

Team USA will play Team Europe in the latest edition of the biennial men's golf competition Friday through Sunday at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, N.Y. Coverage will air on USA and NBC.

"Seeing the guys lose really put a fire in my stomach," DeChambeau told reporters Thursday. "I wanted to make the team this time around. Now we're here and we are a day away from starting the most exciting event in golf."

The structure of the Ryder Cup includes foursomes -- with alternate shot-taking -- and four-ball play -- with players taking their own shots -- Friday and Saturday and a dozen singles matches Sunday on The Black Course at Bethpage.
