“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert mocked President Donald Trump over an awkward moment at the United Nations earlier this week.“It has become increasingly clear that the president is a thin-skinned little devil baby who cannot stand to be giggled at,” Colbert said, referring to the moment Trump stepped on an escalator at the U.N., only for it to stop working. The United Nations said a member of Trump’s team accidentally triggered the escalator’s safety mechanism, causing it to stop. The president and his entourage eventually walked up the stopped escalator. Trump was livid, and on Wednesday demanded that arrests be made over the incident.
