Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Firefighters in Kentucky came to the rescue of a horse that fell into a drainage culvert and was unable to climb back out.
The Berea Fire Department said on social media that rescuers responded to a location on Blue Lick Road about 8 a.m. Wednesday.
"Once on scene, we found a horse that was stuck in a culvert," the post said.
Firefighters worked together with the animal's owner to extract the equine.
The horse was not injured and was returned to its owner's custody.
