25 September 2025Dan AyersSomersetGettyThe festival will return in 2027 after a fallow yearGlastonbury Festival has confirmed when music lovers will next be able to return to Somerset and experience one of the world's biggest outdoor festivals.Organisers previously said 2026 would be a fallow year at Worthy Farm to enable the land to recover and the natural environment to regenerate.The festival's 2027 dates have now been released - with the event set to take place between 23 and 27 June. No official ticket details are expected to be shared until mid-2026, with the event's line-up and headliners set to be announced in early-2027. The festival's last official fallow year was in 2018, but organisers had to cancel two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.Co-organiser of Glastonbury Festival Emily Eavis previously said: "The fallow year is important because it gives the land a rest, it gives the cows a chance to be out for longer and reclaim their land."GettyThe festival's last official fallow year was in 2018 "Sustainability and the need to live in harmony with the land has always been vital to Glastonbury Festival," she added.Festival organisers are running a prize draw for the first 25 tickets for the 2027 event, which will raise money for charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF UK).The prize draw is now open and closes on 7 November this year.More on this storyRelated internet links
