A special cleanliness drive Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath was organised as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign at Tiruchi and other railway stations in the Tiruchi Division on Thursday.The event was organised from the farthest platform of Tiruchi Junction up to the railway traction substation at Sangiliyandapuram in which the Divisional Railway Manager, Tiruchi, Balak Ram Negi along with railway staff participated.Similar drives were held in and around Tiruchi Fort, Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Puducherry, Tiruvannamalai, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, and Nagapattinam railway stations. The activities included cleaning station premises, platforms, circulating areas, and adjoining railway offices to create a cleaner and passenger friendly environment, a press release from the Tiruchi Railway Division said. Ordnance factoryOrdnance Factory Tiruchi, a unit of Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Ltd., Ministry of Defence carried out the Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath cleanliness drive programme on Thursday.Sanjay Shrivastava, Chief General Manager, led the cleanliness drive with senior officers, staff, representatives of workmen, and schoolchildren participating in the one-hour Shramdaan for cleanliness on the factory premises.
