The State Cabinet on Thursday decided to take disciplinary action against officers and employees who abstained from conducting the Social and Educational Survey, which is under way across Karnataka.Briefing presspersons about decisions taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil said the Cabinet decided to take disciplinary action against officers or employees of the government who skip the survey work, particularly in Bengaluru.Till October 7The Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes commenced the survey on September 22 and it is expected to end on October 7.
Social and Educational Survey in Karnataka: Many enumerators find it hard
Technical glitches during enumeration, resistance from teachers,-and a lack of interest by people has continued to mar the Social and Educational Survey in Karnataka. Many particularly highlighted difficulty in identifying houses since the Revenue Registration (RR) number of the energy meter is being used to geo-tag residences.
