The Peenya police have arrested a gang of four for allegedly abducting a mason on the pretext of offering him a lift in their car, and robbing ₹5,000 and two mobile phones from him at gun-point.The accused, identified as Kanakamurthy, Kiran, Srikanth, and Moula Sab Sheikh, were tracked down to their house in Mallathalli based on a complaint filed by the victim on August 14.The victim, a native of Vijayapura who worked in Bengaluru, was waiting for a bus to reach Jalahalli Cross. The accused reportedly approached him offered a drop to the location. After the victim agreed, the accused allegedly drove the car to an isolated place in Dobbspet, threatened the victim at gun-point and robbed the cash and two mobile phones before fleeing the spot.The police also seized a countrymade pistol, which was reportedly used by the accused to threaten the victim.
