Sept. 24 (UPI) -- A shooting at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility on Wednesday left one detainee dead and two critically wounded.

The gunman, Joshua Jahn, 29, also died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound as law enforcement approached him, law enforcement said. His parents live in Fairview just north of Dallas, and his current address is believed to be in Durant, Okla., CBS News in Dallas reported.

The shooting took place at about 6:40 a.m. CDT near Dallas Love Field airport, the Dallas Police Department said in a statement.

Police said that a sniper armed with a rifle on a nearby roof shot at the ICE facility. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds, authorities said.
