The Kannur Corporation released the water Budget, marking a key step in sustainable resource management. The document prepared under the leadership of the Haritha Kerala Mission was released by Mayor Musliah Madathil at the Kannur Dussehra venue at the Kannur Collectorate grounds on Tuesday evening.
The water Budget is designed to assess water availability and utilisation across the Corporation’s limits, providing clarity on areas of surplus and deficit. It aims to ensure efficient storage, conservation and utilisation of water during deficit periods, while also preventing pollution and misuse.
